DATE: 20 December 2005 Dear Customer Panama Canal Surcharge Increase from USA/Canada Effective 1st May 2006, the southbound Panama Canal Surcharge which applies from the North American East Coast, will increase to US$65.00 per 20’ and US$130.00 per 40’. The increase is necessary following on from a review conducted by the Panama Canal Authority. Tariff cargo as well as existing service contracts will be subject to this charge.
